Everyone deserves to be heard.

Hear their Heart began as advocacy for non-verbal children and is growing into a community devoted to advocating for the un-heard and understanding people who struggle to communicate.

Where We Began

Hear their Heart started as advocacy for non-verbal children, kids who have thoughts, needs, and feelings but no easy way to voice them. Too often, the people closest to them, parents, caregivers, and the children themselves, are the ones least likely to be heard by the systems meant to support them.

That advocacy is still at the heart of what we do. It's where this organization comes from, and it's not something we're leaving behind as we grow.

Where We're Going

We've come to believe the need is bigger than any one group. Non-verbal children, their families, caregivers navigating complicated systems, advocates, and anyone who has ever struggled to be understood all share something in common: they deserve to be heard.

So Hear their Heart is growing into something broader, a community built on advocacy, research, and lived experience, for anyone whose voice has been hard to hear.

What We Believe

We also believe in responsibly using assistive and artificial intelligence technology to help people who struggle to communicate be better understood, and to support the caregivers and advocates working on their behalf.

Technology alone isn't the answer. Used responsibly, alongside real advocacy and real relationships, it's one more way to help people communicate, understand each other, and be heard.

Be Part of It

Whether you're navigating this yourself, supporting someone who is, or just believe everyone deserves a voice, there's a place for you here.
